  • 45 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 46 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and rub it with salt, pepper, brown sugar, smoked paprika, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
  2. Sauté the sliced onion in a skillet over medium heat until translucent (about 5 minutes) and transfer to the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seasoned pork on top of the onions and pour BBQ sauce over it.
  4. Cover and cook on low for approximately 8 hours or high for about 4 hours until the pork shreds easily.
