- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Sea salt flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated. Then add vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets. Make an indentation in each dough ball and fill it with caramel sauce. Top with extra dough if needed, then sprinkle sea salt on top.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until edges look set but centers remain slightly gooey. Let cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
