- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 4 soft pita breads
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the chicken breasts in the marinade until well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (ideally overnight).
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. Grill each side of the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest before slicing into strips.
- Lay out each pita bread and layer with slices of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, and the grilled chicken strips on top.
- If desired, drizzle with tzatziki sauce or your favorite dressing before serving.
- Serve immediately while still warm for the best experience.
