Description

Indulge in this delightful Churro French Toast, where sweet cinnamon and fluffy bread create a mouthwatering breakfast experience perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 thick slices brioche or challah bread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Slice the brioche or challah into thick pieces, about an inch thick. Lay them out on a baking sheet to dry slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, allowing it to soak for about 10 seconds on each side.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt some butter. Cook each soaked slice for about three minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. After cooking, immediately toss each piece of French toast in this mixture while still warm.
  6. Serve hot with toppings like fresh fruit or whipped cream as desired.
