  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)

Instructions

  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and instant coffee granules.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  6. For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and mix well. If using coffee liqueur, add it now.
  7. Once brownies are completely cooled, spread frosting evenly over the top.
