Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let sit for about five minutes until frothy.
- Add olive oil and salt to the mixture.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour while stirring with a wooden spoon until it forms a shaggy dough.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about eight minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about one hour or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough gently and divide it into six equal portions.
- Roll each piece into circles about one-quarter-inch thick.
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for about two minutes on each side until golden brown spots appear.
