Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a large bowl. Whisk in granulated and brown sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Sift together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt; fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg yolk, and matcha; mix until creamy.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Dollop matcha cheesecake over it, then add remaining brownie batter on top. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean with moist crumbs attached.
