Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, milk, beaten egg, pepper, and soy sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches and brown them on all sides for about 8 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, whisk flour into remaining butter until golden. Gradually stir in beef broth until smooth.
  5. Stir sour cream into the sauce until well combined. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes.
