Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine honey, lime juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and chili powder. Mix until well combined.
- Place the seasoned chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F). If using an oven or skillet, adjust cooking method accordingly.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve it) and grill each breast for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through (internal temperature should reach at least 165°F). If using an oven, roast at 400°F for about 20-25 minutes.
- Drizzle some reserved marinade over the hot chicken or use it as a dipping sauce. Garnish with lime wedges before serving.

Keywords: For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a longer period. Fresh limes enhance brightness compared to bottled juice. Consider adding colorful bell peppers or swapping in shrimp or tofu for variety.
