Description

Savor the delightful combination of sweet and tangy flavors with this easy-to-make Tangy Honey Lime Chicken that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine honey, lime juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and chili powder. Mix until well combined.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F). If using an oven or skillet, adjust cooking method accordingly.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve it) and grill each breast for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through (internal temperature should reach at least 165°F). If using an oven, roast at 400°F for about 20-25 minutes.
  6. Drizzle some reserved marinade over the hot chicken or use it as a dipping sauce. Garnish with lime wedges before serving.

Keywords: For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a longer period. Fresh limes enhance brightness compared to bottled juice. Consider adding colorful bell peppers or swapping in shrimp or tofu for variety.
