- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice tolerance)
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice chicken breasts into even strips and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: In the first bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. In the second bowl, whisk together eggs until fully combined. Place panko breadcrumbs in the third bowl.
- Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, dip into the egg wash, and roll in panko breadcrumbs until well-coated.
- Place coated chicken strips on the prepared baking sheet and spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the tenders are baking, mix honey and Dijon mustard in a small bowl until smooth.
- Once baked, serve your crispy chicken tenders drizzled with honey mustard sauce.
